STOKE POGES - Live at February Makes A Bridge

Here's a song recorded last Saturday at Upset The Rhythm / Night School's 'February Makes A Bridge' event at The Yard Theatre at Hackney Wick. It was a really fun event and the venue was an amazing half warehouse/half Elizabethan amphitheatre, plus we had a huge falcon projection staring down on us throughout the set making us feel somewhat vole-like. So yes, here's a song which will be on our next album, named after the village in South Buckinghamshire where Thomas Gray wrote his famous "Elegy Written In A Country Churchyard". Hope you like it!

St Mary In The Fields, Badley

Here we are at one of remote gem of a church at Badley (Suffolk), St Mary In The Fields, just a farm and a church and the fields ridged with earthworks, walls and buildings lost to the soil. One and half miles down a narrow, bumpy degraded track, silvered oak benches, hundreds of mole hills, momento mori, carved poppy heads and a decapitated sparrowhawk in the vivid green grass. What an INCREDIBLE place!
