CLAPPER IS STILL - Cover Session

Hello again! Here's the album sleeve for our forthcoming album 'Clapper Is Still' out Oct 14th on Upset The Rhythm. We took this photograph on Hackpen Hill in Wiltshire, a stone's throw from the Ridgeway, right on the edge of the Marlborough Downs, where coaches of sleeping ravers rest in the adjacent carpark. The chalk horse carved into the gentle hillside is one of many that grace the undulating landscape, some ancient, others mere decades old. The hackpen horse is thought to date from the coronation of Queen Victoria in 1838, cut into the turf by a local parish clerk and a helpful nearby pub landlord. After wading through a decidedly muddy field we were greeted by two very interested horses which had a habit of posing for images whilst grazing on their figurative equal. Imagine what they would have done if we'd actually brought the carrots along we thought we might need to lure them into frame. I particularly like how the wet road in the background looks like a river. Here's a host of outtakes from the shoot too. Always the same colour palette every record; gray, green, black and white.
